The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on tourism

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the tourism industry worldwide, which has recorded huge losses. The aim of this paper was to determine the problems that arose in the tourism sector during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the adoption of appropriate measures in the hope of achieving normalcy in this sector as quickly as possible. The travel sector suffered losses of up to $ 200 billion and job losses in the hotel industry were estimated at 24.3 million worldwide.
